Cars in German City Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were alerted by a individual who found a vehicle in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Around fifty cars have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.

Police say they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored liquid.

The substance had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then located multiple other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement report early analysis suggest the liquid was probably human blood.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; officials are not yet informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities said they were working "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A senior representative commented the incident rendered him without words and needed to be solved promptly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing attack in 2020," he wrote on online, mentioning the murder of nine people by a shooter focusing on individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
